InterTalk™ Consoles

Open Architecture

The InterTalk™ Windows InterTalk Console (WIC) is a radio communications & dispatch control console system that has been in use for over 25 years in industry segments such as public safety, railways, utilities, transit, and government.

Built upon standard protocols and using readily available off-the-shelf (OTS) components, the WIC has been continuously updated to ensure that its users can benefit from advancements in technology. Incorporating new technologies such as P25, AES Encryption, and IP based communications, InterTalk is ready to help your communications system meet your current, and future, needs.

Unlike other communications console and control systems, InterTalk was designed from its beginning as a CTI (computer/telephony integration) system using a modular, scalable architecture and built on standard, off-the-shelf technologies such as:

  • Intel based, IBM-compatible desktop personal computers (PC)
  • IEEE 802.3 (ethernet) based Local Area Network (LAN) technology including the use of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling schemes
  • Microsoft Windows™ operating systems for clients and servers
  • non-proprietary, third-party digital switches
  • standard communications protocols such as the Internet Protocol (IP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Session Control Protocol (SIP)
  • industry standard radio signaling schemes
